Sweet Cottage Cheese Ricotta Dessert
A rich Italian-inspired dessert of baked cottage cheese with eggs, sugar, vanilla, and a hint of almond.
Ingredients
- 2 cups, strained Cottage cheese
- 3 large Eggs
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Almond extract
- 2 tbsp Turbinado sugar
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Strain cottage cheese to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, combine strained cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Mix turbinado sugar with ground cinnamon and sprinkle on top for added texture and flavor.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Chill for at least 2 hours for the best texture.
