Spicy Mushroom Tacos with Avocado Crema (Mexican)
Flavorful mushroom tacos with a spicy kick, topped with a creamy avocado sauce.
Ingredients
- 250g, sliced Mushrooms
- 6 small corn or flour tortillas Tortillas
- 1 ripe Avocado
- 1/4 cup Sour cream
- 1 tbsp Lime juice, fresh
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin, ground
- 1/2 medium, finely diced Onion
- 2 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1/2 small Jalapeño, finely diced (optional)
- 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
- To taste Salt
- To taste Black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash avocado with sour cream, fresh lime juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic and sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms, chili powder, cumin, and diced jalapeño (if using) and cook until mushrooms are tender and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Warm tortillas on a dry skillet or in the microwave.
- Fill tortillas with the spicy mushroom mixture.
- Top with avocado crema and chopped cilantro. Serve immediately.
