Spicy Korean Pasta with Broccoli & Gochujang
Pasta tossed in a spicy Gochujang sauce with broccoli, creating a fusion of Korean and Italian flavors.
Ingredients
- 250g Pasta
- 1.5 cups Broccoli Florets
- 2 tbsp Gochujang (Korean Chili Paste)
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 2 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1 tsp, minced Ginger
- 2, sliced Green Onions
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 1 tsp Rice Vinegar
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Steam or blanch broccoli florets until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
- In a large skillet or wok, combine cooked pasta, broccoli, and gochujang sauce.
- Toss well to coat, adding a little of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a smooth sauce.
- Heat over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately.
