Spaghetti with Tomato-Broccoli & Sausage Ragu
Classic spaghetti dish with a hearty meat sauce infused with tomatoes and broccoli.
Ingredients
- 300 g Spaghetti Noodles
- 1 cup Broccoli florets
- 1 (28 oz) can Canned diced tomatoes
- 300 g Italian sausage, removed from casing
- 1/2 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
- To taste Salt and black pepper
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until softened.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, broccoli, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until broccoli is tender and flavors have melded.
- Serve over cooked spaghetti. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
