  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, broccoli, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until broccoli is tender and flavors have melded.
  6. Serve over cooked spaghetti. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
