Maple Pecan Blondies
Chewy and buttery blondies infused with rich maple flavor and crunchy pecans, a delightful Canadian-inspired dessert that's easy to bake and impossible to resist.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Melted butter
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan, or line with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. A drizzle of maple glaze (powdered sugar mixed with maple syrup) is a delightful addition.
