Korean Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry
Quick and flavorful Korean-inspired stir-fry with tender beef, fresh broccoli, and a hint of sesame, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 500g Beef Strips (Sirloin or Ribeye)
- 2 cups Broccoli Florets
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce (Low Sodium)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1-2 tbsp (adjust to taste) Gochujang Paste
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp, grated Ginger
- 1 tbsp, toasted Sesame Seeds
- 3 cups Cooked Rice
- 2, thinly sliced (for garnish) Green Onion
- 1 tsp (optional, for sweetness) Brown Sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang paste, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar (if using). Adjust gochujang amount to your spice preference. A little water can be added to thin the marinade to coat the beef more effectively
- Add beef strips to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until very hot.
- Add marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry quickly to sear the beef, about 3-5 minutes. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure browning.
- Add broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3-5 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
- Remove lid and stir-fry until any remaining liquid evaporates and broccoli is coated with sauce.
- Serve hot over cooked rice, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
