Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang paste, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar (if using). Adjust gochujang amount to your spice preference. A little water can be added to thin the marinade to coat the beef more effectively
  2. Add beef strips to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until very hot.
  4. Add marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry quickly to sear the beef, about 3-5 minutes. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure browning.
  5. Add broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3-5 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
  6. Remove lid and stir-fry until any remaining liquid evaporates and broccoli is coated with sauce.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice, garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
