Japanese Pork Ginger Bowl
Tender slices of pork marinated in ginger and soy sauce, pan-fried and served over rice with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb Fresh Maple Chipotle or BBQ Whiskey Marinated Boneless Pork Loin Centre Chops
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp, grated Ginger
- 2 tbsp Mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 clove, minced Garlic
- 3 cups Cooked Rice
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 2, thinly sliced Green Onions
Instructions
- Slice pork thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, mirin, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
- Marinate pork in the sauce for at least 15 minutes (or up to a few hours in the refrigerator).
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-fry pork until cooked through and slightly caramelized, about 4-5 minutes.
- Serve over cooked rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onions.
