  4. Stir in the sautéed apples, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and the remaining maple syrup.
  5. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes before serving. For the toddler, ensure the oats are at a safe temperature and apples are soft enough to mash with a spoon.
