French Tomato & Broccoli Tart
Elegant and savory French tomato and broccoli tart, perfect for a light yet satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (All-Butter)
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 250g, halved Cherry Tomatoes
- 1.5 cups, blanched Broccoli Florets
- 125g, grated Gruyere Cheese
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp, fresh or dried Thyme
- 1, beaten Egg
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- To taste Salt and Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Roll out puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Score a border about 1 inch from the edge of the pastry with a knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. This will create a raised edge.
- Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry inside the scored border.
- In a bowl, toss halved cherry tomatoes and blanched broccoli florets with 1 tbsp olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange seasoned vegetables on top of the mustard.
- Sprinkle with grated Gruyere cheese.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle with thyme before serving.
