  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and trim the asparagus. Toss with 1 tbsp of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped parsley, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place salmon portions on a separate piece of foil on the baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the salmon portions, then top each portion with the lemon-herb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The asparagus should be tender.
  7. Serve immediately.
