Gourmet Beef and Celery Stir-fry with Toasted Sesame Rice
Ingredients
- 500g Ground Beef (preferably lean)
- 2 stalks, thinly sliced Celery
- 2 tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1 cup, cut into small pieces Broccoli Florets
- 3 cups Cooked Rice (Jasmine or Basmati)
- 2 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- 2 tsp, grated Fresh Ginger
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 tsp (optional) Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat thoroughly.
- Add thinly sliced celery and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the ingredients evenly.
- Add cooked rice to the skillet and stir-fry for another 2 minutes to heat through. For toasted sesame rice flavor, lightly toast rice in pan before adding
- Serve immediately.
