Easter Ham & Asparagus Quiche with Gouda
A flavorful quiche featuring ham, asparagus, and rich Gouda cheese baked in a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- 500g Ham Steak
- 1 bunch Asparagus
- 200 g Gouda Cheese
- 6 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Pie crust
- Pinch Nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Dice ham and sauté until lightly browned.
- Chop asparagus into 1-inch pieces and sauté lightly.
- Grate Gouda cheese.
- Whisk eggs with milk, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Line a pie dish with pie crust.
- Sprinkle ham, asparagus, and Gouda cheese over the crust.
- Pour egg mixture over the filling.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set. An internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) should be reached.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
