Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cube the paneer into bite-sized pieces. Marinate in a mixture of ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, and a pinch of salt for 10 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat cooking oil. Gently pan-fry the marinated paneer until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining oil and sauté finely chopped onions until golden brown.
  4. Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, and Kashmiri chili powder. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the spices release their aroma.
  6. Add a splash of water to prevent the spices from burning.
  7. Gently add the pan-fried paneer cubes and mix to coat them with the masala.
  8. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  9. Crush the Kasuri Methi between your palms and sprinkle over the curry. Stir well.
  10. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.
  11. Meanwhile, cook rice according to package instructions.
  12. Serve the Paneer Tikka Masala hot with a side of cooked rice.
