Spiced Tropical Cantaloupe and Ginger Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups, cubed (chilled) Cantaloupe
- 3/4 cup Pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup (plain or vanilla) YOPLAIT Yop Drinkable Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon (freshly squeezed) Lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon (grated) Fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Pinch (enhances turmeric absorption) Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon (or to taste) Honey or agave (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare ingredients: Chill the cantaloupe cubes for at least 30 minutes. Grate fresh ginger. Measure out all ingredients.
- Combine in blender: Place the chilled cantaloupe, pineapple chunks, YOPLAIT Yop drinkable yogurt, lime juice, grated ginger, turmeric powder, and a pinch of black pepper into a blender.
- Blend until smooth: Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Add a little water or ice if needed to reach the desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust: Sample the smoothie. If it's not sweet enough, add honey or agave. Add more ginger for a spicier kick, or more lime juice for extra tang.
- Serve immediately: Pour into a chilled glass. Garnish with a small cantaloupe wedge or a sprinkle of turmeric for visual appeal. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
