Canadian Sausage and Potato Hash
A hearty and comforting one-pan hash featuring sliced sausages, potatoes, and onions, seasoned with classic Canadian spices.
Ingredients
- 500g Sausage
- 1.5 lbs Potatoes
- 1 medium Onions
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Dice the potatoes and onions. Slice the sausages. Ensure sausages are cooked to a safe internal temperature (check package instructions).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add potatoes and onions, cook until potatoes are tender and slightly browned, about 20 minutes. For extra crispiness, parboil potatoes for 5 minutes before adding to the skillet.
- Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, dried thyme, and garlic powder. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if available.
