Canadian Maple Oatmeal with Apple and Walnuts
A hearty oatmeal sweetened with Canadian maple syrup, topped with diced apples and toasted walnuts for a delicious Canadian breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Rolled Oats
- 3 tablespoons Canadian Heritage Date & Maple Syrup Amber
- 1 medium, diced Honeycrisp Apples
- 1/4 cup, chopped ROYAL NUTS Walnuts Raw Gluten-Free Club Pack
- 3 cups Milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a pot, combine rolled oats, milk, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy.
- Stir in maple syrup and cinnamon. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with diced apples and chopped walnuts. A splash of extra milk can be added for desired consistency.
