Broccoli & Tomato Pasta Bake
A comforting baked pasta dish with spaghetti, broccoli, tomatoes, and a creamy cheese sauce.
Ingredients
- 300 g Spaghetti Noodles
- 2 cups Broccoli florets
- 1 (28 oz) can Canned diced tomatoes
- 227 g Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- To taste Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Steam or boil broccoli until tender-crisp. Alternatively, roast broccoli at 400°F (200°C) with olive oil and salt for 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, broccoli, diced tomatoes, cream cheese, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried basil.
- Add the reserved pasta water to help create a creamier sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Pour into a greased baking dish and top with additional Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
