Spinach and Paneer Lettuce Wraps
Indian-inspired lettuce wraps filled with sautéed spinach and paneer.
Ingredients
- 200g fresh or frozen (thawed and squeezed dry) Spinach
- 200g, cubed Paneer
- 6-8 large leaves, washed and dried Romaine Hearts
- 1/2 medium, finely chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp (vegetable or coconut oil) Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp (optional) Chaat masala
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- to taste Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent and lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add paneer cubes and sauté until lightly browned on all sides. Be gentle to avoid breaking the paneer.
- Add spinach, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Cook until spinach is wilted, about 3-5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Stir in lemon juice and chaat masala (if using) for extra tang and flavor.
- Serve the mixture hot in romaine lettuce leaves as wraps.
- Optional: Garnish with a sprinkle of chaat masala and a drizzle of yogurt.
