Masala Toast with Spiced Yogurt
A quick and flavorful Indian-spiced breakfast toast served with seasoned yogurt.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Whole Grain Bread
- 2 tbsp Ghee or Butter
- 1 tsp each Spices (Turmeric, Chili Powder, Cumin)
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 clove, minced Garlic
- 1/4 cup, finely chopped Bell Peppers
- 1 cup Plain Yogurt
- 2 tbsp, chopped Cilantro
- 1/4 tsp Amchur (Dried Mango Powder)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix plain yogurt with chopped cilantro, a pinch of salt, and amchur (dried mango powder) for added tanginess. Set aside.
- Melt ghee or butter in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped bell peppers; sauté for 1-2 minutes until slightly softened.
- Add turmeric, chili powder, cumin, and garam masala to the pan. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
- Spread the spice mixture evenly on bread slices. Toast them in the same pan, spice-side down, until golden brown and crispy. This helps the spices adhere and intensifies their flavor.
- Serve the masala toast hot with a generous dollop of spiced yogurt. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala on top for extra zing.
