Spiced Ground Beef Taco Lettuce Wraps
Flavorful, low-carb taco lettuce wraps with spiced ground beef, creamy avocado, and zesty lime.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef (93% lean)
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder (low sodium)
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 medium, diced Avocado
- 1 cup Salsa (low sodium, fresh)
- 1 head, separated Bibb Lettuce Leaves
- 1, cut into wedges Lime
- 1/4 cup chopped Cilantro
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to the ground beef. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until spices are fragrant and the beef is evenly coated.
- Warm the beef to a minimum internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) to ensure food safety.
- Arrange bibb lettuce leaves on a platter.
- Fill each lettuce leaf with the spiced ground beef mixture.
- Top with diced avocado and a spoonful of fresh salsa.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the wraps.
- Serve immediately.
