American Black Bean Burgers on Lettuce Wraps
A healthy and flavorful twist on the classic American burger, served on lettuce wraps.
Ingredients
- 1 cup, cooked and mashed Black Beans
- 1/4 cup Oats (Gluten-Free)
- 1/4 cup, finely chopped Red Onion
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 clove, minced Garlic
- 1 tsp Lime Juice
- 4 large leaves Lettuce Leaves
- 1/4, sliced Avocado
- 2 tbsp Salsa
- to taste Salt and Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
- Mash cooked black beans in a bowl.
- Add gluten-free oats, red onion, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly browned and crispy.
- Serve on lettuce leaves with avocado slices and salsa.
