Tuna & White Bean Salad on D'Italiano Bread
A protein-packed and flavorful low-fat salad served on Italian bread.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup, rinsed and drained Canned White Beans
- 1 can (170g), drained Flaked Light Tuna in Water
- 1/4 cup, finely diced Yellow Onion
- 2 tbsp, chopped Fresh Parsley
- 2 slices Italian Bread
- 1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar
- 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 tsp Dried Oregano
- Pinch Black Pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine drained tuna, rinsed and drained white beans, finely diced yellow onion, and chopped fresh parsley.
- In a small bowl, whisk together white wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, dried oregano, and black pepper to create a vinaigrette.
- Pour the vinaigrette over the tuna salad mixture and gently toss until all ingredients are evenly coated.
- Spread the tuna salad mixture evenly between two slices of Italian bread to make a sandwich.
- Serve immediately or pack for lunch. Ensure proper refrigeration if not consumed within 2 hours.
