Baked Ziti with Turkey and Vegetables
A healthier take on classic baked ziti, featuring lean ground turkey and a medley of colorful vegetables.

- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat with minced garlic. Drain any excess fat.
- Add frozen vegetables and Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in pasta sauce and chopped basil and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, and cottage cheese. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
