Baked Ziti with Turkey and Vegetables

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat with minced garlic. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Add frozen vegetables and Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  5. Stir in pasta sauce and chopped basil and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, and cottage cheese. Mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
