Chickpea & Avocado Toast with Everything Bagel Seasoning
A simple, hearty avocado toast kicked up a notch with mashed chickpeas and savory seasoning.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup, rinsed and drained Canned Chickpeas
- 2 slices Gluten-free Bread
- 1/2 Hass Avocado
- 1 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- to taste Sea Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- to taste Red Pepper Flakes
Instructions
- Toast gluten-free bread to your desired level of crispness.
- While bread is toasting, mash rinsed chickpeas with a fork in a small bowl. Season with sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and lemon juice.
- Spread mashed avocado evenly on the toast.
- Top with mashed chickpeas.
- Sprinkle generously with everything bagel seasoning and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
