Chicken and Green Bean Skillet with Tomato Sauce
A simple, gluten-free one-pan chicken skillet with fresh green beans and a rich tomato sauce enhanced with aromatic herbs and a touch of balsamic.
Ingredients
- 500g Chicken
- 250g, trimmed Green Beans
- 500ml Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Dried Basil
- 1/4 tsp (optional) Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- To taste Salt and Black Pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook until browned on all sides. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, green beans, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and green beans are tender.
- Stir in balsamic vinegar just before serving to brighten the flavors.
- Serve hot.
