Speedy Skillet Lasagna
A quick and easy one-pan lasagna with enhanced flavor and texture.
Ingredients
- 125 g Dry Pasta (Penne or Rotini)
- 163 mL Pasta Sauce
- 100 g Medium Ground Pork
- 1/4 medium, finely diced Onion
- 2 cloves, minced Garlic
- 1-2 slices Cheese Slices (Mozzarella or Provolone)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Pinch (optional) Red pepper flakes
- 2-3, chopped (for garnish) Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown ground pork with finely diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in pasta sauce, uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of red pepper flakes (if using). Add 1 cup of water.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 25-28 minutes, or until pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Add more water if needed.
- Top with cheese slices during the last 2 minutes of cooking to melt. Cover until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
