Sausage and Soup Casserole
A hearty casserole combining sausage, soup, and a cheesy topping for a comforting and protein-rich dinner.
Ingredients
- 3 cups Soup
- 3 sausages, sliced Sausage (cooked)
- 1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheese
- 2 medium, cubed Potatoes
- 1/2 medium, diced Onion
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Dried thyme
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cubed potatoes to the skillet. Cook until potatoes are slightly tender, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, soup, and the skillet mixture. Ensure sausage is cooked to a safe internal temperature.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the casserole is heated through. If the top is browning too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot.
