Tuna Puttanesca with Whole Wheat Spaghetti
Flaked tuna, olives, capers, and a spicy tomato sauce tossed with whole wheat spaghetti.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (170 g), drained Light Tuna
- 1 lb (410g) Barilla Pasta
- 1 jar (410-650 mL) Pasta Sauce
- 1/2 cup (375 ml), pitted and halved Olives
- 2 tbsp, drained Capers
- 3 cloves, minced Garlic
- To taste Hot Sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp, chopped Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in pasta sauce, olives, capers, and hot sauce/red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tuna and cook for 3 minutes, until heated through.
- Drain pasta and add it to the skillet.
- Toss to combine. Stir in fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.
