Italian Beef & Egg Frittata
A hearty Italian-inspired frittata featuring ground beef, eggs, and Italian herbs, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 0.5 lb Ground Beef
- 5 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup diced Onion
- 2 cloves minced Garlic
- 2 tsp Italian Herb Mix (low sodium)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup diced Red Bell Pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped Fresh Basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened. Add diced red bell pepper and cook until slightly tender, about 3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the Italian herb mix and season with black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and season with black pepper.
- Pour the eggs over the ground beef mixture in the skillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the frittata is set and golden brown. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Garnish with fresh basil. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
